This is still very rough though its really fun to play with. I found it interesting to realize how much faster the extended arm must move than the shorter arm. Definitely feels fun and weird!

This clip demonstrates one of my favorite practice techniques to help me use more expressive body movements with my poi by pretending to have poi rather than actually spinning with them. In this way, I find myself able to focus differently on the sensations in my body which subsequently allows me to explore different types of subtle shifts in my bodies range of motion.

As much as working with flow tools and props feels good and propels my practice, after years of spinning, I am more clear now than ever that sometimes just returning to my roots as a dancer really helps me connect more with my internal flow and feel really good. This practice was dedicated to working with the music to add more breaks into my dance.
